How the phases are calculated

The monitor calculates MACD(12, 26, 9) on closed candles. DIF is the difference between the fast and slow exponential moving averages; DEA is the signal average of DIF. The eight phases classify DIF relative to zero and whether it is rising, turning, near zero, or has just crossed zero.

For scale across differently priced contracts, the method divides DIF by Wilder ATR(14). “Just crossed” means a zero-axis cross within the last 3 closed candles. “Near zero” means absolute DIF/ATR is below 0.25 while DIF moves toward zero. A turn means DIF moved against its side of zero for 2 consecutive candle changes or crossed DEA. MACD uses SMA-seeded EMAs; the histogram convention is 2 × (DIF − DEA).

Phase percentages use the number of listed symbols in that snapshot as the denominator. The coverage line separately reports how many of those symbols received a classifiable phase. A smaller sample is not representative of the full market.

Snapshots use Binance USDⓈ-M perpetual futures public market data. The reported source and generation time below apply to each saved snapshot. Data may be delayed or incomplete; no missing observations are inferred.
