Method and assumptions

For this simplified scenario, collateral value is the sum of each collateral amount × its entered USD price. Threshold-weighted collateral is the sum of each collateral value × its liquidation threshold. Health factor = threshold-weighted collateral ÷ total debt value. A result below 1 indicates the modeled position is below the liquidation threshold; it is not a prediction of execution.

Each collateral row's price-change input changes only that asset's price for the scenario result. Other collateral prices and debt values stay fixed. The calculator also reports the selected scenario's modeled health factor and the collateral price at which the simplified health factor would equal 1, when that result is defined.

Aave sets liquidation thresholds per asset and protocol configuration. Check the relevant market and current position details before using any value. This model does not include e-mode, isolation mode, protocol-specific rounding, oracle behavior, accrued interest changes, liquidation bonuses, close factors, gas, or transaction execution.

How is the health factor calculated?

This scenario sums each collateral's USD value multiplied by its entered liquidation threshold, then divides by total debt value. Aave's help documentation describes health factor as total collateral value times the weighted-average liquidation threshold divided by total borrow value.

What does a health factor below 1 mean?

Aave describes a health factor below 1 as indicating liquidation risk/eligibility. This calculator is a simplified model and does not determine whether a real position can be liquidated or when a transaction will execute.

Does the calculator use current Aave prices or thresholds?

No. Enter the amounts, USD prices, and thresholds yourself after checking the relevant market and position. The tool does not connect to a wallet, fetch oracle prices, or retrieve protocol configuration.
