Bitcoin mining pool PPS, FPPS and PPLNS calculator
Compare modeled Bitcoin PPS, FPPS, and PPLNS payouts, including a simplified PPLNS pool-luck variance estimate from your inputs.
Compare simplified Bitcoin PPS, FPPS, and PPLNS reward scenarios from assumptions you provide. This estimates pool rewards only; it does not include electricity or hardware costs.
Enter all nine assumptions and calculate.
How the estimates work
- Expected share value = accepted shares × share difficulty ÷ network difficulty × block subsidy. PPS applies the pool fee to this estimate.
- FPPS adds the entered average transaction fees per block to the block subsidy before applying the same share ratio and pool fee.
- PPLNS expected payout = your share fraction in the selected last-N-shares window × expected pool blocks in the period × total block reward per block × (1 − pool fee).
- For the PPLNS luck illustration only, pool blocks are modeled as a Poisson count with mean equal to entered blocks per day × scenario days. Standard deviation = share fraction × total block reward × square root of that mean; probability of zero pool blocks = e raised to the negative mean.
Enter the pool's actual accepted-share difficulty, current network difficulty, reward assumptions, fee, and PPLNS share fraction. Pools can define share accounting, fee treatment, window behavior, settlement timing, payout thresholds, and transaction-fee handling differently. PPLNS variance here is a simplified pool-block-luck model: it holds your window share fraction and reward assumptions constant and is not a promise about individual payouts. PPS and FPPS availability and their actual fees are pool-specific.
This comparison does not estimate block-finding probability for your own miner, payout delay, payout thresholds, rejected shares, changing difficulty/rewards, or operating profit. Average hours between pool blocks is shown as a long-run interval from the entered block rate; actual block times vary.

How it works
Enter accepted shares, share and network difficulty, block subsidy, average transaction fees, pool fee, expected pool blocks per day, scenario days, and your share of PPLNS window shares.
Good to know
Does this show the exact payout a mining pool will make?
No. Pools can use different share accounting, reward windows, fees, payout thresholds, and settlement rules. This page models the stated formulas from your inputs and does not fetch pool data.
Why can PPLNS payouts vary more over short periods?
PPLNS rewards depend on blocks actually found by the pool and shares credited in the relevant last-N-shares window. The standard-deviation and zero-block figures here use a simplified Poisson pool-block model with a fixed share fraction; they are not individual payout guarantees.
Is this a mining profitability calculator?
No. It estimates modeled pool rewards only. Electricity, hardware, operating costs, taxes, payout fees, rejected shares, and changing network conditions are excluded.
