Bitcoin mempool fee rate distribution and local history
View Mempool.space's current Bitcoin unconfirmed transaction fee-rate distribution and build a private local history from browser snapshots.
Inspect the unconfirmed Bitcoin transaction backlog grouped by fee rate. Each refresh queries Mempool.space's public API. The history chart builds from samples stored only in this browser.

Current fee-rate distribution
Each band reports the virtual size whose histogram fee rate falls inside the displayed range. Fee rates are sat/vB; virtual size is vB. The cumulative backlog column includes that band and every higher fee-rate band.

How to read this
The API returns Mempool.space's current fee histogram as fee-rate and virtual-size groups. This page adds the sizes in each group to show fixed bands, and sums each band with higher-fee bands for the cumulative view. The history line is reconstructed from snapshots you manually refresh in this browser; it is not a provider-supplied historical series or a site-wide archive.
A mempool is the unconfirmed transaction set observed by a particular node or service. Nodes can see different transactions and apply different policies, so this is not a single network-wide queue. A fee rate does not guarantee inclusion, a confirmation time, or a particular miner's transaction selection.
If refresh fails, the last successful sample stays visible with its original timestamp and is marked stale. The API is requested only when this page loads or you press refresh; samples are rate-limited to one per five minutes and retained locally for up to 30 days.

How it works
Refresh the public mempool snapshot to view fee-rate bands and cumulative unconfirmed virtual size. Refresh at intervals to build a chart saved only in this browser.
Good to know
Is this mempool the same for every Bitcoin node?
No. A mempool is a node's local view of unconfirmed transactions. Nodes can see different transactions and apply different policies.
Where does the historical chart data come from?
It is built from snapshots you request in this browser and stored in local browser storage. It is not a provider historical feed or a shared site archive.
Does a higher fee-rate band guarantee confirmation?
No. Fee rates do not guarantee inclusion, confirmation time, or a miner's transaction selection.
